This is so common - people are worried about their hands and arms, when really these are just the icing on the cake. The cake is your feet and where your weight is. Once you really get in touch with feeling your weight and where that is in your feet, then the arms become much easier.

So by all means follow and copy the arm movements, but don't stress about them. If you concentrate your attention in your feet, that is 90% of the job done. The arms will come in time....

It's especially useful for de-stressing purposes, to practise putting your attention in your feet, as that takes your mind away from your stressful  thoughts and into the opposite end of your body.

You are your own planet, so moving your attention around will  help you become more aware of your physical body and how it feels. The body gets neglected in so many people, because many jobs take us into the realm of the mind. Yet feeling your body will relax you and taking care of its needs will help your overall health. It's a much more balanced way to live your life, giving your body the attention it needs as well as doing what you need to do to earn your living.

In work situations, maybe at a stressful meeting or wherever, if you put your attention into your feet, as well as into listening to what's going on, it can help you disengage emotionally from being drained,  while still enabling you to follow intellectually what is going on. That way you can help look for a solution if needed, instead of being taken down emotionally.
